Dr. Tim Stratton
Founder & President
Dr. Tim Stratton is the founder and president of FreeThinking Ministries, a Christian apologetics organization devoted to equipping believers, engaging skeptics, and defending truth with both reason and grace. A theologian, philosopher, and author, Tim has spent his career helping people see that faith and reason are not enemies but partners in the pursuit of truth.
Tim earned his Ph.D. in Theological and Apologetic Studies from North-West University (Potchefstroom, South Africa), where his research focused on Molinism and the logical coherence of human freedom and divine sovereignty. His work bridges the gap between academic theology and practical ministry, making complex philosophical and theological ideas accessible to everyday believers.
Before founding FreeThinking Ministries, Tim served for over 15 years in local church ministry, including as a youth and associate pastor. Today, through his books, debates, teaching, and speaking engagements, he continues to challenge both the Church and the culture to think deeply and live boldly. Tim’s passion is to help others know what they believe, whythey believe it, and how to communicate that truth with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
